A private, QR-based event media platform where guests upload photos and videos into a shared gallery with no app and no account — built to hold up under real event-day load.
A private event media product needs to feel effortless for a guest tapping a QR code — but every part of that simplicity depends on infrastructure that has to survive spotty mobile connections, large photo and video files, traffic that spikes hard during an event and disappears after, and edge cases a demo never surfaces. The risk isn't writing the upload form. It's what happens when an upload fails halfway, when storage has to hold years of event archives, or when a gallery has to stay fast at scale.
We worked on the production engineering layer beneath Knipsr's guest and host experience: durable background job processing with retries and recovery for media uploads, storage and delivery architecture across Supabase, Postgres, Edge Functions, and Cloudflare Stream, caching and performance work on gallery loading, and access and expiry logic to keep private events private. Deployment ran across Vercel and Railway, with real-world QA and failure-mode testing before the platform carried live event traffic.
